Clara Hervé

Clara Hervé is an author and illustrator who deploys all her talent in creations dominated by a dynamic
dominated by a dynamic, lively and vibrant graphic style, by a furtive line endowed with poetry and lightness and by an ingenious play of colors. She overturns the codes linked to formats and volumes in the service of a tender and delicate imagination. Attracted by the extremes, she does not make in the half-measure and does not fix any limit to its creativity.

Her drawings are similar to a perfectly recognizable handwriting that breathes cheerfulness and reveal all the finesse of her style. With a mother who is a professor of philosophy, a father who is a composer and a Parisian apartment full of books and comics, she grew up in a world where art was omnipresent. Even before she could read, she discovered Gaston Lagaffe in the
family library, Gaston Lagaffe.
She devoured the adventures of the hero in sneakers, fascinated by so many colors, details and gags.
As a child, she already spends her days telling stories by drawing. She paints, creates, writes and develops her first horror movie script with her friends.
It was only logical that Clara should choose to study art at Renoir high school. This was a godsend for Clara who wanted to develop her artistic practice while sharing this experience with her childhood friend. With her high school diploma in hand, she decided to do a DMA at Renoir where she honed her style. She keeps a wonderful memory of this school rich in constructive exchanges with her teachers and joyful moments of friendship. Bye bye Paris,
direction Strasbourg where she joined the Haute École des Arts du Rhin.

The pedagogical approach is different and allows her to approach new techniques, notably silk-screen printing.
A revelation!
Since the end of her studies, she has been working on a series of publishing projects and has made a brilliant name for herself with the Demi-douzaine collective, composed, as its name indicates, of six brilliant artists from different worlds,
of 6 brilliant artists with singular universes and multiple talents.
Sweetness, humor, poetry, cuteness, luminosity emanate from her art with a mastery and an irreproachable technique. She has just won the young talent prize at the Angoulême festival.
Her 3 colorful illustrations are full of communicative energy where Clara gives life to joyful characters in motion who enjoy life to the fullest in a natural snowy environment.
There is an immense freedom, liveliness, friendship and solidarity
solidarity that permeate each illustration... an escape guaranteed!
